The IRIS Model P905 and 950S Infrared Temperature Measurement Pyrometer was designed specifically
for continuous-duty monitoring of the high temperatures in Sulfur Reactor furnaces.
The second part of the system is the P905 Remote Display and Control Panel.
There are three principle advantages inherent in the two piece design philosophy, as described below:
1) Operating parameters can be changed from a remote location. Climbing up the side of a hot furnace to reach the 950S Viewing Head is Not Required.
2) Area classification at the vessel can be maintained during calibration and bake out.
3) Temperature readout and Diagnostic data is made conveniently available.
The P905 Processor can be easily installed in any accessible area within 50ft, (15m), of the 950S Viewing Head. The remote panel location gives operations personnel easy access to an array of diagnostic information. Operating parameters and set points can be checked and changed quickly and safely.
